South Korea

Introduction to South Korea Located in the East Aisa,  South Korea is one of the most exciting countries with dynamic cities, red-hot cuisine and misty mountains. The country is bordered by North Korea to the north, East China Sea to the south; to the southeast it is separated from the Japanese island by the Korea Strait and the Sea of Japan. The South Korea standard language (Pyojun-eo), which is the standard version of the South Korean language, has many words originated from English, Chinese and European languages. The best seasons to travel South Korea are spring and autumn. During the spring, which is from April to June, it is painted pink by the abundant cherry blossoms that decorate the green spaces in South Korea. When the rains have passed, autumn is coming. The country is bathed in the most stunning shades of red and orange because the autumn leaves start to bloom. If you are the K-Pop lover or like eating, Seoul (capital of South Korea) could be the best place to find

Introduction to Japan Japan is a wonderful country, rich with culture and history! Located in East Asia, Japan is home to over 127 million people, with its capital (Tokyo) being one of the most populated cities in the world! When considering your trip to Japan, you might be interested visiting temples, strines, onsens, gardens, or even indulging at the restaurants and cafes! If you’re an anime and/or manga lover or even a shopping fanatic, then Akihabara and Harakuju are definitely places not to miss! In April, Cherry Blossoms (flowers) line the streets of Japan with carpets of pink petals! Be sure to check the forecasts for the blooming as they are only around for a couple of days in spring! The viewings of cherry blossoms have been a strong tradition, and are the nations’ pride as a significant symbol in Japanese culture. Introduction to Sri Lanka Sri Lanka is a small tropical island nation south of India around the Indian Ocean covering approximately  65,610 square kilometres. It is divided into a dry zone stretching from the north to the southeast and a wet zone in the South, west, and central regions. The nation has three official languages: Sinhala and Tamil are the primary languages of the island and English. Sinhala is the most commonly used, Tamil is spoken by Muslims, and English was introduced during the British rule and continues to be a language of both public and private sectors. Sinhala translates to "lion's blood" and the lion is on the national flag. This symbolism represents the Sinhala Buddhist majority. In the coming weeks I will be sharing information about Sri Lanka’s food, culture, heritage and personal experiences from my recent trip in 2016 to give advice and a better understanding as well as to prompt people to travel to Sri Lanka and experience the unknown bea
